Robert Bartelt was appointed Howard Interim Village Administrator on August 9, 2010. The Village Administrator is appointed by the Village Board and is vested with the responsibility to ensure that policies, directives, resolutions, and ordinances adopted by the Village Board are enforced and implemented. As the Chief Administrative Officer, the Village Administrator is responsible for providing executive level leadership, vision and guidance to the organization, providing recommendations to the Village Board and implementing policy directives in an efficient and effective manner.
